The addition includes a multi-purpose gymnasium with a stage, an elevator, and several classrooms. The new classrooms continue the large windows, which bring in natural light and overlook the outdoor play areas. Sky lit, double-loaded corridors now provide horizontal circulation and a new elevator furnishes disabled access.

Purposely repeating the exterior articulation and subdued color palette of the original structure keeps the entire building in the “background,” so as to not compete with the grandeur of the church sanctuary that shares the grounds.
